I endorse this suggestion, and perhaps this list could be a forum where 
areas that are weak in Wikipedia can be listed and discussed, and 
suggestions of how to improve them made.

I have found Wikipedia very useful, but recognize that it too is under a 
great deal of pressure to amend the way it is sustained. People on this 
list would be ideally the kind who should get their foot in through the 
wikipedia door (or should I say portal) and make their presence felt, 
while the time and space to do that remains,
