Dear Sugata

I read the abstract of your proposal, on "Eventful Adolescence, Memorable 
Youth: The Politics of Personal Reminiscences in Kolkata, 1947-67".

This is a subject I am personally interested in. Through my associations 
with activists in Calcutta, whose public activism spanned the period from 
pre-Independence days to the early 70s, I have some awareness and memories. I 
have thought in terms of the continuing stream of civic activism 
in the city.
