[Reader-list] Jamia Millia University should NOT be prosecuted

Dear list,
I think when people say that the University should be prosecuted, they are
over- reacting. We as students know what the campus is like, what our class
mates who live in Zakir Nagar and other Muslim areas are going through. The
police is randomly hauling up students. I think it is not fair. It is not as
if the University is going to provide legal aid to all wrongful activity
committed by its students, but this is a special case. The blasts were a
horrible thing but the right people should be convicted. I think the police
doesn't want to work hard to catch the right people.
Right now no one has proof of anything. It is only a case of who we want to
believe or at least give a chance to.
No point in arguing over trivial issue like legal aid. If those students
have done the crime, then they will be punished by the court. But we cannot
say that all students of jamia are like terrorists and criminals. This
mentality shows only a persons narrow-mindedness and shallowness of
character.
Sincerely
Ss
