*JAMMU, Sept 26: *Indo American Kashmir Forum (IAKF) organised a rally
outside the UN office in New York (USA) today to highlight the human rights
violations against Kashmiri Hindus, the original inhabitants of Kashmir
(India).

Scores of Kashmiri Hindus lined up outside the UN Office in New York City
holding placards highlighting the ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Hindus have
suffered at the hands of Pakistan aided and sponsored Islamic terrorists
operating in Kashmir.

According to a statement issued by IAKF its Volunteers handed out
informative flyers to the local masses. IAKF expressed the hope that the
United Nations will take notice of the human rights violation of Kashmiri
Hindus and their ethnic cleansing from their homeland. It also solicited the
UN's humanitarian interest and sympathy to save the endangered community of
Kashmiri Hindus and to create conditions conducive for their honourable and
secure return to their homeland in Kashmir, the statement added.

In a memorandum submitted to UN, Secretary General, Ban- Ki- Moon, IAKF
demanded that UN should direct the Government of India to set up a
Commission of Enquiry to establish the cause that led to the selective and
targeted killings of Kashmiri Hindus and their subsequent forced exile and
appropriate the responsibility and punish the guilty.

The IAKF also condemned the role of Pakistan in promoting global terrorism
and its direct and indirect support in harboring Islamic terrorists
belonging to Al-Qaeda and Taliban.

It alleged the American tax dollars that have been sent to Pakistan to
counter Al-Qaeda and Taliban are in fact being diverted to support terrorist
outfits operating in Afghanistan and India.
