Unfortunately the situation is the same or worse in "Leftist" Kolkata, which is one of the most communally divided cities in the country, where social or cognitive intercourse of Hindus with Muslims is minimal, and where the human development index of the city's Muslims (20% of the city population) is abysmally low.
