[Reader-list] Indian Documentary Producers' Association (IDPA) Awards for Excellence 2010: Call for Entries

ELIGIBILITY & RULES

01 Any film or video produced in India from 1st Dec 2009 to 30th April 
2011, is eligible for entry.


02 The last date for receipt of entries is 15th April 2011. Late 
entries will be accepted upto 30th April 2011 only on payment of a late 
fee as specified in the schedule of entry fees.

03 Entries are to be submitted only on DVD. One DVD per category.

04 All films, other than those in Hindi and English, must have English 
subtitles.

05 Entries in the Cell Stories category must be wholly comprised of 
material acquired on a mobile phone camera. The finished film may be 
submitted on DVD only.

06 Every title entered will require a separate entry form. A title may 
be submitted under several categories of competition within a single 
entry form. Consolidated entry fees for all entries may be submitted 
through a single cheque payable at par in Mumbai or a demand draft in 
favour of. “Indian Documentary Producers’ Association”

07 Students are not eligible for Technical Excellence categories.

08 The responsibility for completion of the entry form rests with the 
entrant. Incomplete entry forms will not be entertained. IDPA will 
accept all details as attested by the entrant as final. Films that have 
won the IDPA Awards are not eligible for entering the same film again. 
Falsification of details could lead to the disqualification of the 
entry.


09 Please include the following items with this entry form.
* DVD of entry. One DVD for every category.
* Soft & Hard Copies of:
   1) 100 & 200-word synopsis of the film
   2) Two stills from the film
3) Vertical Format Photograph of Director of the film
4) 50 & 100-word Biography and Filmography of the Director
5) Each DVD must be labeled clearly, and must contain the film title.
* Cheque/Demand Draft favouring “Indian Documentary Producers’ 
Association”


Please Note
ALL PICTURES / PHOTOGRAPHS NEED TO BE IN PRINTABLE RESOLUTION ~ (300 
dpi) PLEASE TEST COMPUTER BURNT DVDs on several makes and models of 
stand-alone DVD players before sending.
DVD+RW and DVD-RW are not accepted


10 Juries appointed by the Indian Documentary Producers’ Association 
will judge each category of the IDPA Awards. The decision of each jury 
shall be final and binding on all entrants. The organizer may choose to 
disqualify any entry that fails to meet the terms stated above. The 
results of the IDPA Awards 2010 will be announced and awards conferred 
at a public function at an announced date.
