Dear Sonia,

This is what is being spread (see attached) by our dearest Murtaza Shibli.I
didn't expect him to stoop so low. Its speaks volumes of his childish and
immature nature.

*Manufactures stories of 'atrocities' on Minorities in Kashmir*

Kashmir Watch

By Javed Iqbal Bhat, Srinagar

Two days back the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society and prominent Muslim
citizens in Srinagar issued statements about their fear that the Indian
government in order to deflect world attention from the Kashmiri mass
uprising might target Hindu minorities and thereby 'prove' Kashmir as a
problem of 'Islamic terrorism'. Their fear assessment came on the basis of
Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) spreading
stories that 'Islamic militants' might target Hindus in Kashmir, a familiar
RAW and Intelligence Bureau (IB) phenomenon to discredit and denounce
Kashmiri freedom struggle. In the past, the Indian intelligence agencies –
RAW and IB has been involved in various massacres of non-Muslims in Jammu
and Kashmir that have been later blamed on Kashmiri militants. The Indian
government has successfully used such incidents to claim the Kashmiri
resistance as part of Islamist terror rather than a mass movement.

Just a couple of days ago – the Indian intelligence IB manufactured a
'gun-fight' on the outskirts of Jammu. It was first claimed that Kashmiri
'Islamic terrorists' had taken women and children hostages. This was blown
out of proportion by the Indian media, Hindu terror groups like BJP, Bajrang
Dal, RSS and Kashmiri Pandit terror group – Roots in Kashmir; Kashmiri
Pandit groups on the directions of Indian agencies RAW and IB also wrote
thousands of letters worldwide to show the 'ugly face of Islamic terrorism'
quoting the gun-battle and alleged threats to the civilians. As the battle
ended, it emerged that it was an Indian intelligence ploy and the dead
'terrorists' did not belong to Kashmir and were speaking Dogri. A BBC Urdu
news story captured the confusion and lies of the Indian intelligence
authorities.

In a sequel to the RAW story about non-Muslims being in threat in Kashmir,
the long time RAW operative in the US, Dr. Vijay Sazawal, former head of
anti-Kashmiri hate group – Indo-American Kashmir Forum, has now spread
rumours that those Kashmiri Pandits living in Kashmir have been threatened
by Kashmiri Muslims. While accusing the Kashmiri media of not highlighting
the 'fears' of the minority community, he claimed to have spoken to them on
'almost daily basis'. In his communication to various people, hate-monger
Sazawal wrote: "There were numerous incidents in Pulwama, Anantnag, and
Srinagar and Baramulla where Pandit homes or persons were surrounded by a
few ruffians and subjected to oral threats ranging from, "Are you still here
- when are you going away to Jammu," to "time has come to burn your place
and we will not let you or your family escape."

Reacting to his hate campaign, London-based Kashmiri intellectual and editor
of Kashmir Affairs, Murtaza Shibli, has distributed a note condemning Vijay
Sazawal for spreading lies against the Kashmiri Muslims and manufacturing
stories. In his note, which he distributed via the email, Murtaza Shibli,
said that he felt sick by the allegations of Mr. Sazawal who has previously
been also accused of spreading lies and rumours about Kashmiris. He has
further dared him to come up with details, if any about the alleged
harassment of non-Muslims in Kashmir. "As a Kashmiri I feel deeply perturbed
by the wanton suppression of Kashmiri masses by the Indian State that is
supplemented by ruthless hate campaign by the Kashmiri Pandits". He called
upon Kashmiri worldwide to gather their energies to fight against this hate
and propaganda unleashed by the Pandit groups.

It is pertinent to mention – that Vijay Sazawal has been working for the
Indian intelligence RAW that is funding scores of Pandit groups around the
world to spread hate campaign. Eversince, the Kashmiri masses took to
streets in July this year, the RAW and IB have activated Pandits who are
denouncing kashmiri mass movement and writing letters to law makers and
journalists in the West in a bid to take focus off from the mass suffering
that the Indian Army and paramilitary forces have unleashed upon the common
kashmiri citizens.
