Who carried out the Ahmedabad attacks? That's the question that's come
under intense scrutiny after Delhi Police claims contradicted the
Ahmedabad cops' version of the blasts.
For starters, both have different theories over Indian Mujahideen,
which claimed responsibility for the attack.
Ahmedabad blasts uncommon ground contradiction #1
# Delhi police claim that Indian Mujaideen and SIMI are separate
entities brought together by the Lashkar-e-Taiba
# Ahmedabad police say that Indian Mujahideen is the same as SIMI
Ahmedabad blasts uncommon ground contradiction #2
# Delhi police say that Atif was the head of the IM module which
masterminded the Ahmedabad blasts
# Ahmedabad police claim it was Abu Bashar, a SIMI member, who planned
the attacks
Ahmedabad blasts uncommon ground contradiction #3
# Delhi Police: Abu Bashar, at best, knew about attacks
# Ahmedabad Police: Atif, at best, a footsoldier in attacks
Ahmedabad blasts uncommon ground contradiction #4
# Delhi police say Atif and his Indian Mujahideen group plotted the
Ahmedabad blasts in Delhi's Batla House area in June
# Ahmedabad police say Abu Bashar Quayamuddin and Tauquir planned the
blasts in Vadodara and Ahmedabad in April
Ahmedabad blasts uncommon ground contradiction #5
# Delhi police say Atif led a team of 10 people to Ahmedabad on June
23. They carried the bombs with them
# Ahmedababd Police say that the explosives were assembled in
Ahmedabad itself in a house in the city's Narol area
Intelligence sources say that this may just be case of competing egoes
between two police forces that as long as the cast of characters are
the same the difference over who played what role is not important.
But two men are dead and a total of about 25 people have been arrested
between the two police forces on the basis of these claims.
For justice to be done the facts need to add up.
