You make an interesting observation-if you will stop paying money
then also they will keep their greed intact to complete 100 test centuries
or 400 wickets. So, greed for run/wicket is to reach highest non-breakable
threshold level for their mental satisfaction irrespective of getting money
for that or not.

That's true and I agree with you.

But have you ever thought why they will do it even if no money is paid
to them. I maybe wrong but I think, because it is their craft isn't
it, It's their nature, their prakriti isn't it.

The greed is for their mental satisfaction. You nailed it!

And what if one's craft is to create wealth? What do you think, this
sort of a person is greedy about? What will give him mental
satisfaction? Can he get mental satisfaction while distributing
wealth?
